Yes, I'm a list person.
I need lists to supplement my less than awesome memory.
I need lists to keep logistical priorities straight in my day.
I need lists to inspire me to keep going.
So, I'm not going to be one of those people (this year) that says "I'm not going to make any resolutions because I always break them" because this year I am not going to break them, because God will help me reach goals that bring Him glory.
So here we go:
1. I will read 10 books. Since I have finished college, my intention was to take that time spent doing school work every evening to read good books by men and women who love God and want to inspire others to love Him more as well. I teach and do a lot of serving, which results in my feeling very spent most of the time. But, as Andy Stanley told us at Passion, God's will for your life is that He be the one to fill your cup, and then it's your responsibility to pour that into someone else's cup so God can fill us again.
2. I will lose another 30 lbs. Yes, I'm going to do it. One way or another!
3. Read the Bible all the way through. I-268 has challenged our group to read the Bible through in either 90 days, or 1 year. I know I can't do 90 days, but I have read the Bible through a few times, and it's the living Word, so it is always incredible!
4. Write an album's worth of songs. Not that it will get recorded or produced this year, but simply that they get written.
So... I've set my goals. What are yours?
